Extract voice-of-customer language for paid ad copy

Marketing & SEO paid-adscopywritingvoice-of-customer

Raw customer reviews contain the exact phrasing that converts in ads — but mining them manually is tedious. This prompt extracts high-signal language and reformats it into ready-to-test ad copy.

Prompt
You are a direct-response copywriter. Below are customer reviews for {{PRODUCT_OR_SERVICE}}:

{{REVIEWS_BLOCK}}

1. Read all reviews and identify the top 5 emotional outcomes customers describe (what life looks like after using the product). Quote the specific phrases they use — do not paraphrase.
2. Identify the top 3 fears or frustrations mentioned before they found the product. Again, use their exact words where possible.
3. List any surprising or counterintuitive phrases that appear more than once — these are often the best hooks.
4. Using only the language and themes from steps 1–3, write:
   a. 3 short ad headlines (under 30 characters each) that mirror customer phrasing
   b. 2 primary text variants (under 125 characters each) that address the pre-purchase fear
   c. 1 longer body copy option (3–4 sentences) built around the most common emotional outcome
5. Flag any claims in the reviews that may need legal or compliance review before use in ads.

Do not invent benefits not present in the reviews.
Variables to fill in

How to use this prompt

  4. Iterate: tighten constraints in the prompt if the output is generic.

Why this prompt is structured this way

The prompt is split into explicit steps because LLMs do better when the path is named, not implied. Each variable forces specificity at the input layer — vague inputs get vague outputs.
